The Bay Area Warriors Athletic Program was developed by the First Base Foundation in March 2005 to give the youth of the San Francisco Bay Area an opportunity to play and enjoy sports after school and over the summer. To date, the Warriors have put on 4 instructional baseball clinics in Marin, a full summer season of baseball for 14 & Under All Stars, and two full seasons of 17 & Under boys basketball.

The First Base Foundation wants to give any child who wants to compete in athletics a chance to play. No children are cut from any teams, no one is required to pay to participate, and everyone has fun. The Warriors are funded by the generous donations of parents, organizations, small businesses, and individuals throughout the United States.

Thanks to all of the support given by the community, First Base Foundation will be expanding its Bay Area Warriors Athletic Program in the future. 2006 will be an exciting year for the Warriors, as they will be adding:

• Two girls basketball teams
• One boys basketball team
• Four new baseball teams
